Smug Louisiana Pastor Arrested For Holding Mass With 1,200+ Imbeciles Is Doubling Down On Easter Sunday

ABC News

As of Wednesday morning, the state of Louisiana has 6,284 confirmed cases of the virus (5th most in the U.S.) and 582 deaths (4th most in the U.S.).

This is not a glowing stat for a state who ranks 25th in total population and 24th in population density.

Tony Spell, the leader of Life Tabernacle Church in Baton Rogue, Louisiana, is trying his very best to push Louisiana up to number one in the pandemic rankings.

Spell believes that true Christians do not mind dying from the disease, thus operating business as usual.

He was arrested last week for violating the state government’s stay-at-home order by holding his three weekly masses. While some states have exempted religious services from their stay-at-home mandates, Louisiana is not one of them.

The arrest didn’t infuse a sense of civility in the pastor, as he has since held two services since housing 1,200+ imbeciles.

“We are endowed with rights from our Creator. Our rights are not derived from our local and national governments.”

Can you believe how impossibly smug this dude comes off?

When asked by ABC News if he believes there’s a difference between fear and wisdom when taking precautions to save lives.

His response was predictably delusional.

“The Bible actually preaches that fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom. We have nothing to fear but fear itself.”

“What is worst, people who are imprisoned in their homes for the past 23 days are people that are saying, ‘we can’t stay indoors anymore. We need to get out. And the church is their place that is their third place to get out to.'”

Spell holds three services weekly, but his most egregious move hasn’t even occurred yet. The dude is keeping his church open for Easter Sunday, which even he admits people from all over the country will be flooding into his church.

If you need any more evidence that this dude is a loonie, watch this clip from a couple days back on CNN’s New Day Weekend.

Unhinged.
