Just two days after cops arrested a second person in connection with Mac Miller’s death, news has broken that they’ve nabbed a third.
Law enforcement told TMZ that Stephen “Stevie” Walter was arrested Monday in Los Angeles. According to court docs, Walter was contacted by Cameron James Pettit on the night of September 4, 2018 to secure 10 blues (percocet pills). Mac died on the night of September 7th.
Earlier this month, it was reported that police have charged and arrested 23-year-old Cameron James Pettit after a lengthy investigation found that the alleged dealer supplied the rapper with counterfeit oxycodone that was laced with a cocktail of fentanyl, cocaine, and Xanax.

A text message exchange between Mac and Petit beginning at 11:07 on September 4, 2018 has since been made public.
Mac: Yoooo
Pettit: Yoo what’s up
Mac: Did you hear back about addy?
Pettit: Nah I couldn’t find any
Mac: All good. You don’t have any lean do u?
Mac: percs?
Pettit: I got some dilaudid 2s but that’s about it
Pettit: I could get yellow and blues though
Mac: blues as far as percs?
Pettit: Yeah 30s
Mac: those are my shittttts man
Mac: When can you get ’em?
Pettit: Probably in an hour or 2
Pettit: They are 30 ea
Mac: any chance I could get 10 of those 10 bars and a ball?
Pettit: Yeah forsure
Pettit: I will get back to you when I’m about to pick them up.
Cops allege Pettit then contacted Walter for the 10 blues, and sent runner Ryan Reavis–who was arrested this week before police found a bunch of illegal shit in his home–to retrieve the drugs. Pettit then delivered them to Mac at 2:30 am on September 5.
Upon inspection of the death scene, authorities found a rolled up piece of paper indicating that Miller had snorted at least one of the pills. Only 6 of the 10 pills were recovered.
Documents also reveal that Pettit knew he was in deep shit after news broke of Miller’s death. He allegedly texted a friend:
“I’m pretty sad and also a little worried.” He then sent a link to a TMZ story about Demi Lovato‘s alleged dealer getting arrested and said, “This is what I’m afraid of … I feel really guilty … If I have to go to jail I hope to spend some time with you first.”
“A little worried” wasn’t enough for Pettit to lay low for a while, as less than a month later, the dude bought more blues from Walter, who at the time was on supervised release following a 10-year federal drug trafficking sentence.
Walter is being charged with conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance and Pettit was charged earlier this month with distribution of a controlled substance.
