Meek Mill Explains What The Hell He Was Talking About In His Viral Encounter With Gucci Mane And Robert Kraft

One of the oddest friendships birthed in 2018 has been the Meek Mill/Robert Kraft bromance. The 76-year-old New England Patriots owner visited the Philly rapper in prison last month while he was fighting release of his harsh probation violation sentencing.

At the time, I thought Kraft was simply big-timing the city of Philadelphia after a heartbreaking loss at the hands of the Eagles in February. But Kraft sounded genuinely moved by Meek’s story.

“Amazing young man. I know how I’d feel if I was in the situation he is. Every time I see him, I just come away more impressed. He’s very intelligent. And makes it clear to me we have to do something with criminal justice reform.”

Meek was released on April 24 and fast forward to last week, the rapper was seen chatting with Kraft and Gucci Mane at Game 2 of the Celtics/Sixers playoff game. The trio produced some A+ memes.

What the hell could the three of them be talking about? Well, Mill sat down with SI’s Crossover TV to share what was said in the viral encounter.

“I was telling Gucci, ‘Robert a real dude, man,’ ” Mill said. “He came to visit me in jail. He spoke out for me. He has a lot of influence…He’s the real deal.”

Mill went on to share that Gucci and Kraft already knew each other because Gucci once performed at a Patriots Super Bowl party.

The rapper also went on to joke that people thought he and Gucci looked like they were going to fight.

Oh to be a fly on the wall.
