The City of Miami Beach is taking extreme measures to discourage spring breakers from coming to their city to party.

On Monday, the Miami Beach government released an ad on their social media channels saying they’re breaking up with spring breakers because th crowds have gotten too rowdy over the years.

“Hey we need to talk, this isn’t working anymore, and it’s not us, it’s you. We just want different things, our idea of a good time is relaxing on the beach, hitting up he spot, or checking out a new restaurant.

“You just want to get drunk in public and ignore laws…We’re breaking up with you and don’t try to apologize and come crawling back.

Here are some of the new measures the city of Miami Beach will implement during Spring Break this year.

Part of the new measures include limiting beach access with security checkpoints that will go on the sand, an increase in parking fees for non-residents, changing traffic patterns to help reduce traffic impacts south of Fifth Street and adding a DUI checkpoint along the 400 block of Fifth Street.

There will also be a towing fee that will double to $516 for non-residents.

During March 7-10 and 14-17, the following rules will be in effect in South Beach:

Parking garages closed
$100 flat fee rate for parking
Police will use license plate readers along the Julia Tuttle And MacArthur causeways
No sidewalk seating for cafes along Ocean Drive

The new policies are directly in response to a riot among tourists that took place last year and left two dead.
