  • Photos from the set of The Flash recently leaked.
  • The pics show Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne for the first time in nearly 30 years.
  • Sasha Calle was also spotted in her full Supergirl costume.

The monolithic behemoth that is the comic book movie industry can certainly become exhausting at times. Reboots and marketing teams, spin-offs and social media campaigns, crossovers and team-ups: the superhero business is now, more than ever, about shock and awe, surprise and bombast.

But every once in a while, the absurdity of what the comic book movie industry has become produces a moment of madness that just works, that just makes sense. Michael Keaton returning to the role of Bruce Wayne after nearly 30 years is one of those moments.

Over the weekend, a bunch of photos from the set of The Flash leaked online, revealing not only the first look at Sasha Calle’s Supergirl but at Keaton as the now-gray-haired Bruce Wayne, who will be making in DCEU debut in 2022’s The Flash alongside Supergirl, Ezra Miller’s Scarlet Speedster, AND Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne (who will be making his final appearance as the character).

While nothing is confirmed at this time, word on the street has been that Keaton’s Bruce Wayne will be serving as the DCEU’s version of Nick Fury, gathering and leading the various heroes into the future of the DCEU.

The Flash, which stars Ezra Miller, Michael Keaton, Bruce Wayne, and Sasha Calle, is currently scheduled to hit theaters on November 4, 2022.
