Morgan Wallen spent two nights in Ann Arbor to perform at Michigan Stadium over the weekend. He left the venue beaten and battered thanks to a pair of painful fan interactions.
The country music singer admitted to being hobbled ahead of his second performance. He revealed the severity of his injury on social media.
Wallen is closing out his Still the Problem Tour, with less than five shows left to play upon entering the Great Lakes State. He’ll wrap up in Philadelphia next weekend. The time off in August will be welcomed.

Wallen was joined by Detroit Lions star Aidan Hutchinson while walking onto the stage night one. The next show, he had Olympians Quinn and Jack Hughes.
Those intros sent the sold-out crowds into a frenzy, as did “Mr. Brightside,” a nod to the hometown Wolverines.
Unfortunately, not every aspect of the appearance went so smoothly. During his first performance, fans in the pit threw shirts, hats, and other items onto the stage. A phone apparently smacked Wallen in the shin.

It’s not the first time Wallen’s had a cell phone thrown in his direction on tour. In fact, it’s become somewhat of a common occurrence, though the singer has voiced his displeasure with the practice.
In this particular case, Wallen pointed the fan out to security. The concert-goer’s night might’ve ended early.
Wallen’s evening would wrap up a few hours later. The battle scar from the launched phone would end up being the lesser of two painful interactions.

While exiting the venue, Wallen jumped up to high five a fan. He slipped upon landing, twisting his ankle in brutal fashion.
The performer posted a photo of the sprain on social media. It looked painful.

Morgan Wallen reveals injury after slip in Michigan.
“Michigan, if I appear somewhat hobbled tonight, it’s cause I am,” he wrote in a caption on his Instagram story. While admitted to being slowed, the injury was not severe enough to keep him off the stage.
Morgan Wallen returned for Saturday’s show in Michigan Stadium, which ended with a few less cuts and bruises.
