UFOs, aliens, asteroids, doomsday vaults, toxic airplanes, animals that don’t breathe, Bigfoot sightings… it’s like we’re now living in an apocalyptic video game or movie that’s about to go sideways.
Speaking of Bigfoot sightings, back in January the Twitter account for the Washington State Department of Transportation East posted several photos of what they believe may have been the ever-elusive Bigfoot, AKA Sasquatch or Yeti.
“Sasquatch spotted!!!” the WSDOT East wrote in its first tweet. “I’m not superstitious… just a little stitious. Have you noticed something strange on our Sherman Pass/SR 20 webcam before? If you look closely by the tree on the left there looks to be something… might be Sasquatch… We will leave that up to you!”

WSDOT’s Southwest region, Snoqualmie Pass, and Washington’s Secretary of State even responded to the photos as the Bigfoot sighting made national news.
I can confirm that it is not a shadow or the tree trunk... there is a story behind it...

It is actually not the tree… there is a story behind it. Working on getting more information from those who know the history.

I am actually headed to Sherman Pass tomorrow... will be taking the good camera while hunting for Sasquatch

Fast forward a little over a month and the Washington State Department of Transportation has finally solved the Bigfoot mystery… we think.
Update on the "Bigfoot" sighting. We'd planned to reveal what was in front of Sherman Pass cam during a recent visit. However, when crews arrived it was gone. Rumor has it someone placed a 3/4" wood cutout of Bigfoot on the tree. However, if you look now, the cutout is now gone. pic.twitter.com/vkA6CCj2Yw

Well a previous inspection of the site did see the wood cutout. Had been there for several years. Was just removed recently.

So was it just a cutout of a Bigfoot as the GOVERNMENT is now claiming? Or was it really Bigfoot and they just don’t want to admit it and are trying to walk it back now?
