Two days after Nipsey Hussle, whose real name is Ermias Asghedom, was gunned down in fron of his L.A. clothing store The Marathon in Hyde Park, the 29-year-old Holder was arrested. Holder escaped the crime scene in a white 2016 Chevy Cruze that was driven by an unidentified female driver.
At a press conference on Tuesday morning, LAPD Chief Michel R. Moore outlined the possible motive of the Nipsey Hussle murder. “At this point of our investigation based on witness statements and the background of those that we’ve identified, we believe this to be a dispute between Mr. Hussle and Mr. Holder,” Moore said at the conference. “I’m not going to go over the conversation, but it appears to be a personal matter between the two.”
Two other victims from the shooting were taken to the hospital, and a third person declined medical treatment at the scene of the shooting. There have been numerous vigils around the country since Nipsey Hussle’s untimely death on Sunday.
