If living well into your 100s sounds appealing to you, this post if for you. If you’re like me and you’d rather burn out than fade away, please click away from this post and watch this mascot shoot himself point-blank in the frank and beans with a t-shirt gun.

Grace Jones turned 112 years old this week and making her the oldest person in Great Britain after Olive Evelyn Boar recently kicked the can in August at the age of 113.. As NPR points out, Grace has lived  through 26 prime ministers and both world wars. She’s was born the year immunization for Tuberculosis first developed and the first air conditioned building in the world was completed in Belfast. TLDR: She’s fucking old. Like hieroglyphics old.

Ms. Jones, whose known to her friends as Amazing Grace, credits her long life to one habit she’s maintained for over 60 years: diet exercise yoga WHISKEY, BABY! Grace has a single malt whiskey before bed every night for the past 21,900 days.

Amazing Grace told the Daily Mail:

‘I never miss my night cap. All I have is the whisky at night.

‘Whisky is very good for you.

‘I started having a nightly tot of it when I turned 50 so I’ve been having it every night for the last 60 years and I certainly have no intention of stopping now.

‘My doctor said ‘keep up with the whisky Grace, it’s good for your heart’.

Welp, I guess that settles that. So the next time my family decides to trick me into an drinking intervention by promising to take me to Dave and Busters, I’m going to listen to their sob stories about how much they’re worried for me with a rye smile and then hit them with this story of Amazing Grace. TRUMP CARD BABY! BOTTOMS UP!

Here is Grace, probably drunk, talking about all her secrets.

Love live the queen!

Matt’s love of writing was born during a sixth grade assembly when it was announced that his essay titled “Why Drugs Are Bad” had taken first prize in D.A.R.E.’s grade-wide contest. The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
