Pedro Pascal Had The Most Relatable Response To Thinking He Was About To Meet Rihanna

I’ve written about this a few times on this website — in fact, I did a whole article on it back in 2020, *before* he became an even bigger star thanks to The Last of Us — but rarely have we seen a rise to Hollywood’s A-list like Pedro Pascal‘s.

Now the star of The Last of Us, an HBO series so successful that it outpaced the viewership of House of the Dragon, Pascal is a bigger star than ever as he’s now hosting Saturday Night Live and presenting at the Academy Awards.

What makes Pascal’s meteoric ascension to stardom so enjoyable, though, is that he comes across as such a regular, humble dude. Having interviewed him myself, I can indeed confirm that fact.

But while The Mandalorian‘s superpower may be his Beskar steel armor, Pascal knows his superpower is his relatability, as evidenced by this moment of him thinking he was about to meet Rihanna at the Vanity Fair Oscar’s after party.

Unfortunately for Pedro, though — and all of us, really — whoever Pedro saw wasn’t actually Rihanna, thus denying the world the chance to see those two meet.

As mentioned above, Pascal can most recently be seen starring in The Last of Us, which just wrapped up its nine-episode first season on Sunday, March 12. The entire first season of the show, which has been renewed for season two, is now streaming on HBO Max.

As for what else the 47-year-old Pascal has got cooking this year, he’ll be starring alongside Ethan Hawke in the western short Strange Way of Life, which will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival Later this year. He’s also attached to projects such as Freaky Tales, The Uninvited, and Tropico, and is also set to star in the HBO limited series My Dentist’s Murder Trial alongside David Harbour.
