Broncos star Russell Wilson opted for an unusual celebration for his wife Ciara’s 38th birthday.
Instead of a high-end venue, the Super Bowl champion quarterback treated his wife to a night at the Waffle House, a move had Ciara shocked but happy.
Wilson and Ciara have been together since 2015, having tied the knot in 2016 after a period of celibacy.
To mark Ciara’s special day, Wilson pulled out all the stops, renting out the entire Waffle House for an intimate celebration. The usually simple diner was transformed with a red carpet, candles, and of balloons.
Ciara, clearly taken aback by the effort her husband put into the evening, gushed in a highlight video, “Babe! This is like next level. This is like top, top! My honey knows how much I love Waffle House!”

Earlier in the day, Wilson took to Instagram to express his love for Ciara, describing her as “Heaven sent, the perfect mother to our children, and God’s blessing to me.”
The couple is also anticipating the arrival of a new family member soon.
