Six Flags has banned an influencer for life after he ate chicken nuggets on a Cedar Point roller coaster as part of a viral video.
After posting a video showing himself devouring seven nuggets while riding the Millennium Force roller coaster at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, the company barred Allen Ferrell from all of its amusement parks.
“This guest has been banned from all Six Flags parks for life,” park spokesperson Tony Clark told WTOL News after Ferrell’s video went viral.
“Safety is a cornerstone of our business and we have zero tolerance for inappropriate and unsafe behavior. Our ride safety policy strictly prohibits all loose articles on rides, including food which can become a choking hazard.
“Safety is a partnership between our guests and the park, and guests must follow all written and verbal instructions for safe riding,” Clark continued. “Guests who violate our Code of Conduct are not welcome in our parks.”
What did he do in the video?
Ferrell’s video, as of this writing, has been viewed over 763,000 times on YouTube. It begins with him reading a challenge to attempt eating a ten-piece nugget pack while riding a roller coaster. Then, as he stands just outside the park’s main entrance, the video shows him stuffing a McDonald’s nugget box down his pants.
Once inside Cedar Point, Ferrell is seen telling an employee, “If anyone asks, I do not have chicken nuggets in my underwear. All right?”
While on the ride, Ferrell asks his videographer for sauce, then dips a nugget into the container, spraying it on his face and onto the riders seated behind him.
“I had no idea that eating a 10-piece chicken nugget on a rollercoaster would be a national headline, but here we are,” he told Fox 8 News after being banned from all Six Flags parks. He also revealed that the park initially wanted to press charges against him, but instead, they “kind of worked it out.”
As WTOL News pointed out, not only did Ferrel violate the park’s loose article policy, but he also violated the Cedar Point policy on recording videos while on rides. “Small action cameras, including GoPro, DJI Osmo, DJI Pocket, etc. are not permitted on rides and attractions,” the policy reads.
