Stop me if you’ve heard this before. Star Wars fans are very upset about something. This time their ire is being directed at The Rise of Skywalker star John Boyega for a sexual comment he made on social media about Daisy Ridley’s character Rey.
Not that Boyega seems to give any f**ks. He’s done with Star Wars movies and apparently doesn’t care if he makes the franchise’s fan base angry.
At least that’s how it appeared on Tuesday when after fans went after him for his comment, Boyega doubled down in a tweetstorm that only served to stoke the firestorm in which he found himself.
WARNING: Possible spoilers ahead.
After sharing a video of himself dancing on Instagram, a commenter suggested that he was dancing because he was happy that his character’s competition for Rey’s affection, Kylo Ren, is no longer in the picture.

“My boy after realizing Kylo died so he can date Rey,” wrote the commenter.
“It’s not about who she kisses about who eventually lays the pipe. You are a genius,” replied Boyega, triggering numerous responses calling him everything from crude and insensitive to sexist and misogynist.
Rather than apologize for his joke, Boyega tried to explain it away by pointing out that his Star Wars character Finn and Ridley’s character Rey are not actually real people.
You obviously don’t know the diffrence between a fictional world and reality.

Then Boyega went full Kevin Durant, engaging fans who criticized his comment by firing back with a few barbs of his own.

When someone asked if he tought Ridley would be offended by what he said, Boyega was unconcerned.
Daisy knows she isn’t the character. Lol so tbh she doesn’t give AF.

Star Wars is a movie not a documentary.
