Fashion designer, Instagram influencer, and former rapper Kanye West found himself in trouble with both Instagram and Twitter over the weekend after he used both social media platforms to make controversial comments about Jewish people. West’s access to both Instagram and Twitter has since been restricted.

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith calls out Kanye West for being “off his rocker” after West was restricted on both Instagram and Twitter after making comments about Jewish people

In the wake of West’s comments, ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith — who was promoting his new “Know Mercy” podcast — said that the 45-year-old father-of-four is “off his rocker”, which is a sentiment that’s echoed by a sizeable percentage of the population these days.

“You know it’s real easy to point to a lot of things about the great Kanye West. Some of the things that he says, some of the things that he’s saying, some of the people he’s going after: he seems off his rocker,” Smith said in a Twitter video.

West’s comments on Twitter and Instagram came as he attempted to explain the “White Lives Matter” shirt he wore to his YZY show at Paris Fashion Week. Kanye then posted texts of an argument he was having with Diddy in which he said he was going to use the rap executive as “an example to show the Jewish people that told you to call me that no one can threaten or influence me” before declaring that “this means war.”

As a result of his posts, West’s Instagram access was restricted so he hopped over to Twitter to make similarly disparaging comments.

“I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE. The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda,” West tweeted.

Shortly thereafter, the tweet was removed and West’s account was “locked for violating Twitter’s policies,” according to a spokesperson for Twitter.
