There are a lot of rumors and theories surrounding the next performer to take up residency at the ‘Sphere’ in Las Vegas, but one in particular stands out over the rest. The top hypothesis got even stronger as U2 covered an international icon during its set on Wednesday night.

Sphere, located at the Venetian Resort, has quickly become the most viral concert venue in the world. It is an immersive experience that continues to captivate social media with each new video and image.

With a capacity of 18,000, the Sphere auditorium stands 366 feet tall and 516 feet wide. All of the images are displayed in 18K on the world’s largest LED screen, which is about the size of four football fields. A whopping 164,000 surround-sound speakers make up the audio system.

Although the Sphere only opened at the end of September, it is already sold-out through mid-February. U2 is playing multiple shows per week, and people are flocking to Sin City for their first opportunity to get inside the coolest indoor concert venue in the world.

Bono and company recently extended their residency through the first six weeks of 2024. And then it is entirely up in the air.

Is Harry Styles next in line?!

There are a lot of signs that point toward the Sphere becoming Harry’s house after U2’s run comes to an end. Some people even believe that it is a forgone conclusion that Harry Styles is up next.

The evidence is vast, and his deep-rooted ties to the venue are greater than most.

U2 added fuel to the speculation fire earlier this week during a performance of ‘All I Want Is You’ off of the band’s Rattle and Hum album. Bono started to throw various snippets of other songs into the performance. It’s something that he has been doing throughout the residency.

While singing ‘All I Want Is You,’ Bono threw in a little bit of Van Morrison’s ‘Into The Mystic’ before pivoting into some of Styles’ hit ‘Sign Of The Times.’

Bono performed a few bars of Styles before shifting back over to Van Morrison and then his own song.

Interestingly enough, U2 has been trying to mix in a few lyrics of songs by artists who are in attendance at their show. Bono sang some of ‘Shape of You’ when Ed Sheeran was in town, for example.

Perhaps Styles was at the Sphere to check out his future digs when U2 started singing his track?

Maybe it was a coincidence. Maybe it was intentional.

Either way, the theory that Harry Styles will be next to play the Sphere only continues to heat up!
