Harry Styles has received a formal invitation to be the next performer at the ‘Sphere’ in Las Vegas. He is welcome to take up residency whenever he so chooses, according to MSG Entertainment CEO (and New York Knicks owner) James Dolan.

The Sphere, located at the Venetian Resort, has quickly become the most viral concert venue in the world. It is an immersive experience.

With a capacity of 18,000, the Sphere auditorium stands 366 feet tall and 516 feet wide. All of the images are displayed in 18K on the world’s largest LED screen, which is about the size of four football fields. A whopping 164,000 surround-sound speakers make up the audio system.

Videos and images from inside the Las Vegas venue continue to blow minds with each new performance during U2’s four/five-month run at the Sphere. Bono and company will be there through at least mid-February.

And then it’s entirely up in the air.

The next performer to takeover the Sphere has yet to be announced. One pretty strong theory suggests that Lady Gaga may be in line for string of performances down the road.

Is Harry Styles up next?

There is one even bigger (?) name that continues to float around online — Harry Styles.

The Sun reported back in January that he had been offered an astonishing $50 million to play at least 10 shows at the Sphere. Dolan, who was instrumental in the building of the venue, later issued a formal invitation to the 29-year-old international icon not long after it officially opened.

Styles’ management company, Full Stop Management, is reportedly involved in lining up performers for The Sphere. Obviously, that connection could prove fruitful for both sides.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, plans are already in place for Styles to be the next residency at the Sphere beginning in March. Entertainment columnist John Katsilometes believes that an announcement will come later this fall.

The theory goes even deeper.

Pauli Lovejoy, known as Pauli The PSM, is a UK-born drummer, D.J., recording artist and music director. He joined Styles on his latest tour as the musical director and percussionist, and was known for his joy-inspiring dance moves.

Pauli currently serves as the opener for U2 at the Sphere!

All of the math seems to add up…

The Sphere does host one-night shows. All artists must take up 3-4 months residencies.
