Tinder Unveils ‘Festival Mode’ After Data Suggests Festival-Goers Are A Thirsty Bunch

You know what’s better than sex? Sex with swamp-ass in a muddy field while War on Drugs plays softly in the background.

Tinder wants to make that happen to festival goers across the US and UK this summer.

Tinder is launching a new feature for all users today called Festival Mode that allows users to add a badge to their profile that announces the music festivals they’ll attend this summer.

According to the Verge, the app will prompt users to make a selection on the Festival Mode card, which will give other users a notification that they’ll be at a festival and potentially looking to slap skins. Tinder will prioritize matches who are planning to attend the same festival, even outside of a user’s location preferences.

The full list of participating festivals includes major festivals in both the US and UK: EDC Las Vegas, Hangout, All Points East, Governors Ball, Parklife, Bonnaroo, Firefly, British Summer Time, Lovebox, Faster Horses, Hard Summer, and EDC Orlando. Each festival option will open up three weeks prior to the event.

Festival Mode is the obvious evolution of Tinder, as last year app registrations during Governors Ball went up by 36 percent and at Bonnaroo, activity increased by more than 300 times.

I personally guarantee that by the end of 2019, there will be a song released called ‘Sex at the Festival.’ I want royalties.
