With all of the news every day about the massive improvements artificial intelligence (AI) are seeing and the impacts they’re having on society, it’s important that we pump the brakes from time to time with a reminder that AI isn’t quite there yet…

I came across this video on Fark, a forum which still has some of the catchiest headlines on the Internet, and the premise is someone used artificial intelligence to create a commercial for a local burrito restaurant but the end result was truly disturbing…

Disturbing? Definitely. Does the song still go pretty hard? Absolutely. Is this AI burrito commercial weirdly Satanic for reasons unbeknownst to the viewer? It sure is. In the video’s description, the creator claims they used Midjourney V6 and Runway Gen 2 for this, in case anyone is wondering:

It doesn’t take a degree in Internet Psychology to recognize that this video which currently has just 1,162 views is about to go viral. This burrito commercial is one of the strangest AI creations we’ve ever seen here at BroBible.

Weird as it is, though, this is proof that AI is getting pretty close to being able to produce full-blown finished videos with minimal input from the creator.

I’ve yet to use AI myself aside from a few random tasks like asking Meta’s AI image generator to imagine what the College Football Playoffs mascots look like and things of that nature.

I don’t know if this is a ‘get off my lawn!’ moment for me and some from my generation, but I still prefer a 100% human element in my content creation. I love it when you readers send me hate mail in the middle of the night insulting my existence on earth all because I made the tineest tipo in some random article you didn’t agree with…
