A woman in Florida recently won $1 million playing a scratch-off lottery ticket. It was the second time in two months that she won $1 million playing that same lottery game.

41-year-old Altovise Morris of Orlando first won $1 million playing a 500X The Cash scratch-off ticket. When Morris visited the Florida Lottery headquarters to claim her prize she reportedly told lottery officials, “I’ll be back!”

Two months later, she was indeed back as she won another 1 million playing another 500X The Cash scratch-off ticket.

After her first big win, Altovise Morris placed a down payment on a new house. Then she won again.

“After closing on my house, I stopped at a Sunoco Foodmart in Clermont, and it happened again. I still can’t believe this is happening,” said Morris.

Considering the odds of her pulling off such a lucky double are just 1 in 71.6 billion, it’s hard for anyone to believe.

Morris chose to receive both winnings as lump sum payments of $820,000 each.

Surprisingly, this sort of thing happens more often than one would think.

For instance, a man in Maryland won three $50,000 lottery prizes in the span of 11 months using the same numbers each time.

A North Carolina man won $2 million playing a $20 scratch-off ticket just two years after winning a million dollars from a scratch-off ticket.

A woman in North Carolina won $2 million playing a scratch-off lottery ticket just two months after winning a $1 million prize playing a different scratch-off lottery game.

And in Delaware, a woman won $100,000 playing a scratch-off ticket. On her way home from visiting the Delaware Lottery headquarters to collect her big prize she bought more scratch-off tickets and ended up winning another $300,000.

“My best friend was the first person I told about winning the $100,000 top prize, and she came with me to claim it,” the woman told Delaware Lottery officials. “When I scratched the $300,000 winning Serious Money ticket later in the day, we just sat there in disbelief. It was absolute insanity.”
