‘Shazam’ Actor Zachary Levi Hilariously Seems To Think His Job Being Safe Despite THE ROCK AND SUPERMAN Being Fired

Despite the fact that A-list actors such as Dwayne Johnson and Henry Cavill just got virtually fired by the new regime in charge of DC, Shazam! star Zachary Levi is putting on a brave face and claiming that all is well. At least publicly.

Responding to a tweet from a fan that said “Shazam is the ONE thing in the DCEU” they’d want to keep, Levi said that he’s “all gucci.” Levi, of course, is set to star in Shazam! Fury of the Gods, which not only hits theaters in March but has the unfortunate distinction of being the first DC film to hit theaters following the recent shake-up.

While Levi might just be doing what the studio tells him given the fact that they still have to market and release Shazam! Fury of the Gods, the fact that Levi would suggest that he’s “all good” when THE ROCK, literally one of the biggest celebrities in the world, just got canned is borderline laughable.

The fact is that the DCEU (now called the DCU) is being rebooted from the ground up and James Gunn and co. plan to start from scratch. If they’re willing to let Cavill and The Rock go, then surely they’ll have no issues recasting the former star of Chuck, which is probably exactly what they’ll do as soon as Shazam! Fury of the Gods hits theaters.

Despite the axing of Cavill’s Superman and The Rock’s Black Adam (some reports also indicate that Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman will be next), all indications point to Matt Reeves’ The Bastman franchise with Robert Pattinson being safe.

According to Gunn, who officially took over DC Studios with co-CEO Peter Safran on November 1, fans will have a better idea of what to expect from the franchise when they announce some of their plans in January.
