Foo Fighters Announce Tour And ‘Concrete And Gold’ The Band’s ‘Biggest Sounding Album Ever’

The Foo Fighters have announced a new album and tour. The new album is titled “Concrete and Gold,” and it will have a tour that kicks off with a badass festival with a tremendous lineup. “Concrete and Gold” arrives September 15 via Roswell/RCA and features the songs “Run,” “The Sky is a Neighborhood,” and “La Dee Da” which were previously debuted at a live gig.

The Foo Fighters have been quietly working on the album for the last six months at Hollywood’s EastWest Studios with Greg Kurstin, the producer best known for co-writing Adele’s smash hit “Hello.” Dave Grohl became a fan of Kurstin through his indie pop duo, the Bird and the Bee, with Inara George. Kurstin has worked with pop stars such as Sia, Kelly Clarkson, Ellie Goulding, Pink, Tegan and Sara, and Lily Allen in the past.Grohl thought Kurstin’s pop experience would create an interesting challenge for the Foo Fighters.

“So I think maybe Greg is the guy that we ask to be our producer because he’s never made a heavy rock record before and we’ve never worked with a pop producer,” Grohl said. The musician described the combination of their styles as, “Our noise and Greg’s big brain and all of his sophisticated arrangements and composition.”

The band said that “Concrete and Gold” would be their “biggest sounding album ever.” “Concrete and Gold” is the ninth studio album for the Foo Fighters. This is the first new music from the Foo Fighters since 2015’s “Saint Cecilia,” and “Sonic Highways,” back in 2014.
