Nintendo Discontinues Popular ‘NES Classic Edition’ Because They Apparently Hate Money

Today, Nintendo announced they were discontinuing the popular “NES Classic Edition” that remains sold out at every retail store and is selling for an exboritant amount on EBAY.

A Nintendo representative sent following statement to IGN

“Throughout April, NOA territories will receive the last shipments of Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition systems for this year. We encourage anyone interested in obtaining this system to check with retail outlets regarding availability. We understand that it has been difficult for many consumers to find a system, and for that we apologize. We have paid close attention to consumer feedback, and we greatly appreciate the incredible level of consumer interest and support for this product.”

Seriously, WTF Nintendo? I’ve been trying to get an NES Classic for months and I refuse to pay a scalper 200 bucks for one.

Of course, people on social media were not happy with Nintendo’s decision.
