Last week, 23-year-old SNL prodigy Pete Davidson revealed in an Instagram post that he’s ridding his life of drugs, for the first time in nearly a decade. As of late, Davidson hasn’t frequented SNL as often and after he deleted his @petedavidson Twitter account and entirely scrubbed his Instagram account, fans began to wonder what was going on.
Davidson credited Cazzie David, his girlfriend and daughter of Curb Your Enthusiasm creator Larry David, for helping him power through the dark times. Although it’s unclear what drugs were tormenting Davidson, the Staten Island native has praised weed in the past–claiming that it is the only remedy for his chronic Chron’s Disease.

Davidson has spoken openly about his struggles with depression and suicidal thoughts. This past fall he credited Kid Cudi for saving his life on The Breakfast Club.
