Hearing The Beastly Roar Of A Hennessey HPE1000 Engine In A 2018 Dodge SRT Demon Will Delight You

The fine folks at Hennessey Performance take great in massively upgrading vehicles so they’re track-ready rocket ships. One of their latest untamed brutes is the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon with an upgraded HPE1000 engine and wait until you hear this beauty roar.

Hennessey‘s HPE1000 package, the Demon boasts an 4.5L supercharger with extraordinary 880 horsepower at the rear wheels, which equates to around a blistering 1,035 HP and 6,500 RPM. Hennessey unleashed the devil by letting the Demon loose at their test track in Sealy, Texas. While they don’t push the Demon to its limits, seeing the 4,300-pound hunk of steel rocket down the track that quick is impressive.
But the real treat is hearing the beastly roar of the monstrous engine.

Now remember, this Demon is about 1/3 as powerful as the 2018 Dodge Demon Hellcat Challenger that Hennessey is working on which will have NHRA legal roll cage, a parachute, headers, engine tuning, and an upgraded supercharger system that will have a mind-numbing 1,500 horsepower. Until then, this 1,035-horsepower Demon is pretty incredible.

Hennessey Performance Engineering also created a monster to control the Demon. Hennessey modified a 2018 Chevy Camaro ZL1 and they call it “The Exorcist” since it can tame the Demon with its blistering top speed of 217 mph.
