The 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing is one of the most gorgeous automobiles ever built. One of these rare vehicles is up for auction at Dorotheum with bidding starting around $1.3 million and IMHO that’s a steal (assuming you’re a billionaire). As stated on Uncrate, this car was always a race car dressed in street clothes. It packed a punch unlike anything else on the road at that time.
