If you’ve been running as long as I have, you get pretty familiar with the greatest hits of running shoes. You figure out what brands and styles you like based on your feet, your form, and your comfort needs. One shoe that’s always been tried and true for me since high school is the Nike Pegasus. Whenever I’m shopping for a new pair and don’t know what I want, I can always count on the Pegasus. But “tried and true” apparently wasn’t good enough for Nike, which is why they’ve made the new Pegasus 42 the most advanced version yet. But it doesn’t stop there: they’ve also dropped a special ACG trail runner version of the Pegasus. It’s a great day to be a runner.

So, what’s new that you can expect from the Pegasus 42? How about a full heel-to-toe Air Zoom construction that makes every step feel lighter and more propulsive than ever? But they didn’t stop there. You’re getting more room at the toes, a super-lightweight mesh upper, and an updated Waffle outsole that delivers traction and flexibility with high-abrasion rubber and flex grooves. These are some serious high-tech upgrades that you’ll feel for miles and miles of running.

The Pegasus ACG shoes are part of Nike’s new, larger All Conditions Gear (ACG) collection. This is apparel and gear designed for those of us who look forward to hitting the trail, increasing the altitude, and getting a little wild and messy outdoors. Makes that post-hike brewery beer all the more refreshing and delicious.
