Well, there you have it: the New York Knicks are your 2025-26 NBA Champions! For a native New Yorker like me who grew up watching the pitiful years of the team in the 2000s, the victory almost doesn’t feel real. I imagined myself as an old man before they won another title, but here we are. Congrats to all the Knicks fans out there still hungover from Saturday. Go ahead and treat yourself to officially licensed gear from Nike to continue the celebrations.

I mean, did anyone think that the Knicks weren’t going to win it all after Game 4? I turned that game on after dinner in the 3rd quarter and assumed all was lost. I left it on as background noise, but I’m thrilled to have been proven wrong. My wife and I couldn’t believe what we were watching.
Naturally, after all that excitement, we knew that we needed to enjoy Game 5 from a sports bar. Little did we know that so many bars in Milwaukee would rather have the FIFA World Cup on. I know that it’s only once every four years, but shame on you if you thought Scotland-Haiti was more important than the NBA Finals (unless you’re from Scotland or Haiti, in which case you get a pass).
