Earlier, we saw the all black 2018 Colorado ZR2 Midnight Edition from Chevy and it is a magnificent-looking truck. Now Chevy is giving the all black everything treatment to the 2018 Tahoe Custom Midnight Edition. The 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe Custom Midnight lets you get blacked out without the painful hangover the next day.

Chevrolet introduced the Tahoe Custom model last summer as a trim that offered plenty of value. Now Chevy offers the Midnight Edition of the popular full-size SUV for a very reasonable price. The Tahoe Custom Midnight Edition is based on the LS trim, but it fades to black with 18-inch painted black wheels wrapped in Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires, black bowtie emblems, black tint, and a black grille. With all that blacked-out styling you’ll think you’re driving a Secret Service vehicle.

Inside the cabin there’s an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment center that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There’s also 4G LTE-enabled Wi-Fi capability. The Tahoe Custom Midnight comes with a rearview camera, Rear Seat Reminder system, and remote start. The Custom Midnight ditches the Tahoe’s third-row seat to gain extra cargo space – 112 cubic feet in total.

Under the hood of the Tahoe Custom Midnight is a 5.3-liter V-8 engine that provides 355 horsepower with an EPA-estimated 16 mpg city, 23 mpg highway. The Tahoe has a towing capacity of 6,600 pounds.

“The introduction of the Tahoe Custom last year was well-received by our customers who were looking for the capability of a full-size SUV with the added utility of increased rear cargo space,” said Sandor Piszar, Chevrolet Trucks marketing director. “The Tahoe Custom Midnight takes the capability and value of the Custom trim and adds rugged, all-black features found on our popular Midnight Editions.”

The 2018 Tahoe Custom Midnight Edition will hit Chevy dealerships this spring for $45,995, which is only $1,000 more than the standard Tahoe Custom.
