Where we’re going with the 2019 GMC Sierra AT4, we don’t need roads. We’ve seen the off-road package for the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 AEV Concept and Chevy has the ZR2 vehicles designed for off-roading. GMC’s 2019 Sierra AT4 is the first truck they’ve developed under this brand new upgrade package for the “go anywhere” crowd.

This new sub-brand of GMC will allow customers to drive off the beaten path. The new Sierra stands high thanks to a two-inch lift and bespoke 18-inch or 20-inch wheel designs with all-terrain tires. There’s four-wheel drive with two-speed transfer case, locking rear differential, low-speed automatic braking, and off-road Rancho shock absorbers. The Sierra features a Hill Descent Control and traction selection system that allows drivers to choose from preset drive modes for various terrain, surfaces, and weather conditions. The AT4 comes standard with the 5.3-liter V-8 engine, but if you want more power you can upgrade to new versions of the 6.2-liter V-8 and the Duramax 3.0-liter inline-six turbo-diesel engine paired with the 10-speed automatic.

In the cabin, there is plenty of tech available to make sure that you can see you entire surroundings because this beast is so enormous. There’s a multi-color head-up display, Surround Vision cameras that provide a bird’s-eye view of your truck, lane-change alert, blind spot monitoring, and a rear-camera mirror.

There’s also a CarbonPro carbon fiber box that is lightweight, corrosion and scratch resistant just like the 2019 Sierra Denali has. The AT4 debuted ahead of the 2018 New York International Auto Show. GMC did not yet provide pricing for the 2019 Sierra AT4, but this beautiful truck is expected in dealerships this fall.
