Leaked Photos Show Jeep’s New Pickup Truck Called The 2020 Jeep Gladiator And You’re Gonna Want One

New 2018 Jeep Wrangler Review

A day after the 2020 Baby Bronco was leaked, we receive another exciting truck leak, introducing the 2020 Jeep Gladiator pickup truck. Eight months ago, we shared some spy shots of the upcoming Jeep pickup (which at the time the vehicle was rumored to be called the Jeep Scrambler), but now we see the 2020 Jeep Gladiator in all of its glory!

ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!?!? That’s a nice looking vehicle right there. The leaked photos appeared on the Jeep Gladiator Forum and are said to be official photos of the upcoming 2020 Jeep Gladiator that were reportedly accidentally posted on the Fiat-Chrysler official media website before being taken down a few minutes later. But not soon enough because the images were allegedly snatched up.

The new Jeep midsize pickup truck is based on the JL-series Wrangler but adds a bed in the back. There is even promise of an “easy-to-use premium soft top” model making it “the only true open-air 4×4 pickup truck.” The pickup truck will still offer Wrangler’s signature fold-down windshield and removable doors. The alleged feature sheet also notes that there will be “dozens of different door, top, and windshield combinations.” There will allegedly also be a Rubicon model.

The powertrains are said to be identical to the Wrangler, featuring a 3.6-liter, 285-horsepower Pentastar V-6 paired with an eight-speed automatic or a six-speed manual. A 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 will also be available. The Gladiator will reportedly be able to tow 7,650 pounds and haul 1,600 pounds in its five-foot steel bed, which would be the best in the midsize pickup class. The spec sheet boasts that the Gladiator can run smoothly in up to 30 inches of water.

For diehard car enthusiasts, you may recognize this Jeep’s name because the Jeep Gladiator was a pickup truck that was built in the 1960s. The Jeep pickup truck is set to formally make its debut on November 28th at the Los Angeles Auto Show and we’ll know for sure the actual design and name.

You can check out all of the photos and the spec sheet over at Jeep Gladiator Forum.
