Real talk: you’ll probably never be able to afford a Lamborghini. Sorry, those are the odds, don’t blame me. But, you might be able to afford a Lamborghini bicycle. At the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, amongst all of the curvy and state-of-the-art cars, there was a bike that turned heads. Introducing the eye-catching Cervelo P5X Lamborghini Edition.
In an odd pairing, the Italian auto manufacturer teamed up with the Canadian bikemaker to create this brilliant bicycle. At the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, the Cervelo P5X Lamborghini Edition debuted with the backdrop of Lamborghini’s new Urus SUV. The collaboration of the two ultra-luxurious brands shocked many at the car show, but it works. “Our triathletes lead the charge when it comes to racing, and now, with this stunning bike, they can stand out from the crowd even more emphatically,” said Robert de Jonge, Cervelo’s Managing Director.
The Cervelo P5X Lamborghini Limited Edition boasts a custom yellow paint scheme that pays homage to Lamborghini’s brilliant yellow color as well as their Y-shaped pattern that was designed at Lamborghini’s Centro Stile at the car company’s Sant’Agata Bolognese headquarters. This design differs greatly from P5X’s usual color pattern of black with red highlights. Cervelo engineers created more than 150 different frames that spent over 180 hours inside a wind tunnel to perfect the P5X’s aerodynamic design. The high-performance bicycle features flat-mount disc brakes.
However, getting your hands on a Lambo bike won’t be easy because this is a VERY limited bicycle. only 25 models of the Cervelo P5X Lamborghini Edition will be made available worldwide. The starting price for the special edition triathlon bike is a whopping $20,000. Each Cervelo P5X Lamborghini Edition comes with a custom-designed P5X bike travel case.
