Unlike the dozens of celebrity daughters that have “worked” their way into becoming a model for a living, legendary actor Joe Mantegna’s 27-year-old daughter Gia Mantegna has instead put her lineage to good use in the business of acting.
As was the case with Kelsey Grammer’s daughter Greer, Clint Eastwood’s daughter Francesca, Jamie Foxx’s daughter Corinnne, and most recently, Sylvester Stallone’s daughters Sophia, Sistine and Scarlett, Gia was once a Miss Golden Globe back in 2011.
She actually began acting way back in 2003 though, in the film Uncle Nino. Since then Gia has appeared in movies like 13 Going On 30, Empire State, Ask Me Anything and The Prince.
Gia has also done quite a bit of TV work with roles on Criminal Minds, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Gigantic, The Middle and Under the Dome.
Now she is set to star alongside Brianne Tju on a new show for The CW Seed called Life After First Failure.
Something her dad Joe is obviously very proud of…
Not sure of the exact premiere date yet, but count me among those who will be interested in checking it out when it eventually airs.
