The college course will be broken down into multiple sections (or ‘modules’ as they call them in Canada), the first providing a foundation for being able to cultivate and grow cannabis in a variety of ways, as well as maximize the potency of the weed and properly store that marijuana once it’s been brought to market. The first portion of the course is ‘Plant Production & Facility Management – MEDM 9001’, and Module 1 of that course will involve the following:

Students will learn to identify the key differences in plant characteristics. They will become skilled at identifying healthy plant roots and unhealthy plant roots; learn treatment techniques, and how to optimize the environment for healthy root production. Students will also be taught irrigation options and techniques: growing mediums and hydroponic systems; pest management; crop cycles; drying and storage procedures; and Health Canada regulations.
Module 2 will focus on the legality of the medical marijuana market, and teach students bylaws and legal challenges still in place preventing anyone and everyone from getting into the weed game:
Module Two: Legalities and Regulations: Becoming a Licensed Producer in the MMPR Business
Learn the history of government regulations in Canada in the marijuana business, and the history of government regulations of international cannabis hotspots. Understand local bylaws and review current legal challenges while developing a Marijuana for Medical Purposes Regulation (MMPR) application.
Now onto portion 2, known as ‘Marketing, Sales & Drug Development – MEDM 9002’, where the college will actually teach you to market and sell drugs.
Modules 1 and 2 of that course section include the following:
Module One: Marketing, Sales, and Patient Acquisition Strategies
Review Health Canada marketing regulations as you create and implement branding strategies and customer loyalty while learning who your target markets are.
Module Two: Medical Conditions and Drug Development Processes
Learn the role of health care professionals in the use of medical marijuana, and what medical conditions are treated with cannabis in Canada. Explore Vancouver dispensaries, the drug development process and alternatives to smoking cannabis.
