Fooji Is An All Emoji Food Delivery Service And You’ll Use It Because Words Suck, Pictures Are Gooder

Fooji is set to launch next month here in NYC, and it’s seeking to be the first ever ‘all emoji food delivery service’, because there’s one thing that makes ordering food annoying it’s all those pesky words you have to read and/or type out to ensure your food comes prepared correctly. In order to get rid of all that foolish linguistic interaction, Fooji is launching a service where all a hungry bro needs to do in order to get fed is tweet the emoji of the food he wants to @gofooji and they supposedly take care of the rest. Fooji, because regular Seamless is too complicated for some millennials and Seamless decided emojis were the wave of the future.

I’m probably the world’s biggest proponent of Seamless. My lunch today was delivered via Seamless, as it was every day last week that I spent in the BroBible office. It’s quite possibly the greatest service I use on a daily basis here in NYC. That’s why Fooji has me shaking me head so damn hard I don’t even know where to begin. Since when is opening an app or typing out a web address too difficult? Is it really too hard to choose a restaurant (answer: NO, no it is not)?!?!? Fooji is a service being powered by Seamless…but why? They’ve already got a stellar app and a fantastic web interface, what’s the need for this emoji nonsense?

The bros over at The RSVLTS tipped me off to Fooji (click on over to see the full write-up):

A portmanteau of food and emoji, Fooji takes Domino’s new emoji ordering sytem to the next level. Hungry, indecisive individuals simply tweet an emoji of what they wish to eat @gofooji and the Fooji team will d the hard work of decision-making and then deliver your food. For instance, if you want a burger but don’t know where to order from, just tweet a burger emoji and Fooji will choose a local burger restaurant and surprise you with a burger of their choosing.

All meals cost $15 and users have no control on where the meal comes from. If you have an assortment of food allergies, intolerances, or are just a picky eater, the Fooji service probably isn’t for you.

Fooji is not yet live, as it’s set to launch in the month of June. But if you’re interested in getting updates from Fooji about the launch, though I cannot fathom why you would be, you can click on over to Fooji’s site and sign up under their ‘keep me posted’ feature.

If you’re still not clear on what Fooji is offering here’s a glimpse at their FAQ section:

what’s a fooji?

a food emoji. we’re a team of creative geniuses over here at the fooji office, so we decided that the best we could do was combine the word “food” and the word “emoji.”

how do i use fooji?

simple. all you do is sign up on this website (login with your twitter), then just tweet at us with your desired food emoji. we make sure your meal gets to you safe and sound.

why would i want to order food with an emoji?

why wouldn’t you?

can i get an example?

sure. let’s say our friend rico wants to dine on a local burger. he tweets @gofooji with a burger emoji. we handpick a burger from a surprise local restaurant and place the order to make its way to rico.

wait, so how does rico tell you what he wants on the burger?

he doesn’t. that’s the beauty of fooji. it’s a food adventurer’s dream. you give us the direction and we surprise you with a great local restaurant.

but i don’t like pickles on my burgers…

then fooji is not for you my friend. there’s an old saying, “if you cant stand the fooji, get out of the kitchen.” we think that’s how it goes…

can i use fooji in my city?

that depends. is your city new york? if not, then unfortunately you cannot use fooji just yet. but you wait patiently little food warrior, we’ll get to your city in due time. if you want to expedite the process, send an email to seamless and ask for them to bring us to your town – suggestions@seamless.com. let em know that fooji sent you.
