We are through nine weeks of the NFL season, just over the halfway point. Here are the best rookies at every position so far this season.

Just over half of the NFL season has come and gone. It’s been a stellar rookie class, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Here’s the NFL Midseason All-Rookie Team.

Quarterback: Jayden Daniels

Jayden Daniels is a no-brainer to make this team. Not only has he been the best rookie quarterback out of a solid crop of them, but he’s been one of the best quarterbacks in the league. Daniels has 1,945 yards, 9 touchdowns, and just 2 picks, while also adding 459 yards and 4 touchdowns on the ground. He’s been tremendous and is a darkhorse MVP candidate.

Running Back: Tyrone Tracy

This was always going to be a weak class of rookie running backs. But, Tracy has emerged as the best of the bunch. He has 89 carries for 442 yards and 2 touchdowns, including a pair of 100-yard games.

Wide Receiver: Malik Nabers

Another Giants player makes it, as Malik Nabers has been a star. Despite battling poor quarterback play, he has 55 catches for 557 yards and 3 touchdowns despite missing two games. He looks like he’s going to be a big-time player for years to come.

Wide Receiver: Brian Thomas Jr.

Brian Thomas Jr. has been a bright spot for an otherwise lousy Jaguars team. The LSU alum and former teammate of Malik Nabers has been stellar, catching 35 balls for 595 yards and 5 touchdowns this year.

Tight End: Brock Bowers

Many thought that the Raiders got the steal of the draft when brock Bowers fell to the 13th pick despite arugably being the safest bet in the draft. He’s caught 57 passes for 580 yards and looks as if it’s a matter of when, not if, that he’s considered the best tight in the NFL.

Tackle: Joe Alt

Alt was the first tackle off the board in April, and hit the ground running as a plug-and-play tackle across from teammate Rashawn Slater. He looks to have All-Pro potential.

Tackle: Taliese Fuaga

Fuaga has struggled a bit in pass protection. But, he’s been a mauler in the run game, making a huge impact in that phase of the game. As the pass blocking improves, he will become one of the NFL’s best.

Guard: Dominick Puni

The 49ers look like they have a huge draft hit on their hands. The third-roudner has been rock-solid in both pass blocking and run blocking. Given some offseason losses up front, he’s played a huge roll.

Guard: Jackson Powers-Johnson

While he may eventually move to center, Powers-Johnson has shown aptitude at guard, as well. The versatile offensive lineman plays like a veteran.

Center: Zach Frazier

The Pittsburgh Steelers found a long-term anchor in the middle of their offensive line in Zach Frazier. The West Virginia alum could be one of the league’s best at the position sooner rather than later.

Edge: Jared Verse

While Verse only has 3.5 sacks, he is top twelve in the league in both pressures and hurries. He’s been getting constant pressure and looks to be the best edge rusher in the class.

Edge: Laiatu Latu

Latu was the first edge off the board in the 2024 NFL Draft. He’s been solid, with some big flashes, but hasn’t necessarily established himself as a future star. Outside of Verse, no one else has at the position, so he gets the nod.

Defensive Tackle: Braden Fiske

Fiske joins teammate Jared Verse on the All-Rookie Team. The versatile defensive lineman had big shoes to fill with Aaron Donald retiring. While he’s never going to be that level player, he looks like a potential Pro Bowler for years to come.

Defensive Tackle: T'Vondre Sweat

T’Vondre Sweat is an absolute mountain of a man, and even the best interior offensive linemen are struggling to move him. He’s in the mold of a Vita Vea-type nose guard, as his athleticism is better than you may think. He’s probably the most unblockable player in the class.

Linebacker: Payton Wilson

It’s not a great box linebacker class, but Payton Wilson has been impressive in Pittsburgh. While he’s not an every down player at this point, Wilson has shown flashes that he can cerrtainly grow into that. The question for him is always going to be staying healthy.

Linebacker: Edgerrin Cooper

Edgerrin Cooper was considered the best box linebacker in the 2024 NFL Draft class. He’s probably lived up to that designation. He has 44 total tackles and 2.5 sacks so far this year. He should be a starter for years to come.

Cornerback: Kamari Lassiter

Lassiter has avoided much of the adjustment period that many young corners face in the league. He has six passes defended and an interception so far.

Cornerback: Quinyon Mitchell

Quinyon Mitchell has been the best cover corner out of the rookie crop by a big margin. The Toledo alum looks to be a future top cover guy in the entire league.

Slot: Cooper DeJean

The Eagles defense became much better when DeJean returned from a knee injury suffered at Iowa last year. He’s been exactly what Philadelphia thought they were getting, a Swiss army knife that can play any role on the back-end and is always around the football. He has a chance to be a special player.

Safety: Evan Williams

Williams hasn’t been a full-time player in Green Bay, as they have a great safety room led by Xavier McKinney. But, when he’s been in the game, he’s been sensational so far. The Packers need to get him on the field more, frankly.

Safety: Tyler Nubin

Nubin was the first safety off the board back in April. He’s certainly shown flashes of that pedigree for the Giants, but he needs to improve on his consistency. Still, his play has earned him a spot on this list.
