NFL Quarterback Power Rankings Week 10: Ranking All 32 Starting Quarterbacks From Worst To First

Week 9 is in the books. Here are all 32 quarterbacks ranked worst to first heading into Week 10.

Through nine weeks, we’ve really started to establish a true top tier of quarterbacks in the league. It seems like the top seven quarterbacks on this list have really separated themselves from the group.

Cooper Rush replaces Dak Prescott in the rankings due to injury, the only change from last week’s 32 quarterbacks. Here are all 32 quarterbacks ranked worst to first.

32. Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Cooper Rush

Getty Image / Todd Kirkland

Last Week: 13/25, 52.0%, 115 yds, 1 TD / 0 INT
Season Stats: 22/39, 56.4%, 167 yds, 1 TD / 1 INT

Cooper Rush is set to take the starting job over for at least a few week, as Dak Prescott is going to be out for a few weeks with a hamstring injury. As far as backups go, Rush is not all that bad. But, he comes in last on this week’s list.

31. Tennessee Titans Quarterback Mason Rudolph

Getty Image / Johnnie izquierdo

Last Week: 20/33, 60.6%, 240 yds, 2 TD / 1 INT
Season Stats: 76/128, 59.4%, 806 yds, 4 TD / 4 INT

Rudolph played well enough to win on Sunday, and is certainly an upgrade over Will Levis. For Rudolph, the rest of the season is about playing well and earning a big raise on his 1-year, $2.8 million contract this year when he hits free agency next year.

30. Las Vegas Raiders Gardner Minshew

Getty Image / Andy Lyons

Last Week: 10/17, 58.8%, 124 yds, 0 TD / 0 INT
Season Stats: 148/221, 67.0%, 1,501 yds, 6 TD / 8 INT

Minshew was benched for Desmond Ridder due to ineffective play in Week 9. The team fired offensive coordinator Luke Getsy this week, and it’s unclear who will start going forward. Ridder is certainly no upgrade, even if Gardner Minshew hasn’t been playing well. The Raiders will surely be drafting a quarterback in April

29. New York Giants Quarterback Daniel Jones

Getty Image / al bello

Last Week: 20/26, 76.9%, 174 yds, 2 TD / 0 INT
Season Stats: 194/304, 63.8%, 1,880 yds, 8 TD / 5 INT

Jones played fine enough against the Commanders, especially in the second half. But, he limits an offense so much with his inability to be an advanced passer. Questions about his job status are asked every week, but the Giants insist that he’s going to remain their guy for the time being.

28. Cleveland Browns Quarterback Jameis Winston

Getty Image / Gregory Shamus

Last Week: 26/46, 56.5%, 235 yds, 1 TD / 3 INT
Season Stats: 59/99, 59.6%, 652 yds, 5 TD / 3 INT

After lighting the Ravens up in Week 8, Jameis regressed to the bad version of Jameis Winston on Sunday. That’s kind of the deal with Jameis Winston. You never know what you’re going to get week-to-week, for better or worse. At least it’s more entertaining than Deshaun Watson.

27. Carolina Panthers Quarterback Bryce Young

Getty Image / Matt Kelley

Last Week: 16/26, 61.5%, 171 yds, 1 TD / 1 INT
Season Stats: 77/128, 60.2%, 694 yds, 3 TD / 6 INT

Bryce Young played much better than his stat line on Sunday. Most importantly, he showed the ability to throw effectively down the field for one of the first times in his career. He had to feel good getting a win

26. New England Patriots Quarterback Drake Maye

Getty Image / Johnnie Izquierdo

Last Week: 29/41, 70.7%, 206 yds, 1 TD / 2 INT
Season Stats: 82/125, 65.6%, 770 yds, 6 TD / 4 INT

Yes, the game-ending interception on an underthrown deep post wasn’t good. But, that doesn’t mean that he wasn’t impressive once again. His game-tying drive culminated in one of the best throws you’ll see all year to get them to overtime. And, his movement both in and out of the pocket is pairing really nicely with a deadly arm. Still some development work to do, but the future is bright in New England.

25. Indianapolis Colts Quarterback Joe Flacco

Getty Image / David Berding

Last Week: 16/27, 59.3%, 179 yds, 0 TD / 1 INT
Season Stats: 87/135, 64.4%, 895 yds, 7 TD / 2 INT

Benching Anthony Richardsdon for Joe Flacco, which was supposed to give them a better chance of winning, did not work out well at all. The offense had their worst game of the season. That being said, Flacco has played well this year otherwise, and the Vikings defense has been fantastic all year. Still, it wasn’t pretty. He will need to play better going forward.

24. New Orleans Saints Quarterback Derek Carr

Getty Image / Grant Halverson

Last Week: 18/31, 58.1%, 236 yds, 1 TD / 0 INT
Season Stats: 108/159, 67.9%, 1,225 yds, 9 TD / 4 INT

The stats aren’t all that terrible. But, that doesn’t tell the whole story. First, only 22 points against the Panthers is obviously not good enough. And, terrible passes thrown to Chris Olave and Juwan Johnson got both players hurt. That’s how your teammates lose faith in you.

23. Denver Broncos Quarterback Bo Nix

Getty Image / Scott Taetsch

Last Week: 19/33, 57.6%, 223 yds, 0 TD / 1 INT
Season Stats: 184/294, 62.6%, 1,753 yds, 8 TD / 6 INT

After a few really impressive weeks, that lights were a bit too bright for Bo Nix in a huge game against the Ravens. Still, he’s having a better rookie season than many thought he would. He’s probably played a bit better than the numbers, all things considered.

22. Jacksonville Jaguars Quarterback Trevor Lawrence

Getty Image / photo by elsa

Last Week: 16/31, 51.6%, 169 yds, 0 TD / 2 INT
Season Stats: 168/274, 61.3%, 2,004 yds, 11 TD / 6 INT

Lawrence had a terrible September, but backed it up with a pretty solid October, all things considered. Sunday’s game against the Eagles was a huge step back for Lawrence. His play was below starter level. He’s got to find a way to be more consistent.

21. Chicago Bears Quarterback Caleb Williams

Getty Image / brooke sutton

Last Week: 22/41, 53.7%, 217 yds, 0 TD / 0 INT
Season Stats: 162/264, 61.4%, 1,665 yds, 9 TD / 5 INT

I strongly believe that between the play-calling and offensive line play that Caleb Williams is being set up for failure. Both are at the bottom of the league. Still, I’d like to see Caleb play a bit better.

20. Pittsburgh Steelers Quarterback Russell Wilson

Getty Image / Joe Sargent

Last Week: Bye
Season Stats: 36/57, 63.2%, 542 yds, 3 TD / 0 INT

The Steelers were on bye in Week 9. Russell Wilson will look to keep his strong play in the team’s first two starts going.

19. Seattle Seahawks Quarterback Geno Smith

Getty Image / Rio Giancarlo

Last Week: 21/34, 61.8%, 363 yds, 3 TD / 3 INT
Season Stats: 233/342, 68.1%, 2,560 yds, 11 TD / 10 INT

The highs have been high and the lows have been low for Geno Smith this year. That continued on Sunday for Geno Smith. He marched the Seahawks up and down the field. But, his backbreaking red zone pick-six likely lost the game for the team. Consistency is a big issue, and he needs to figure it out.

18. New York Jets Quarterback Aaron Rodgers

Getty Image / Kevin Sabitus

Last Week: 22/32, 68.8%, 211 yds, 3 TD / 0 INT
Season Stats: 197/316, 62.3%, 2,107 yds, 15 TD / 7 INT

Just when things were slipping away from Rodgers and the Jets, he played his best game of the season. This was vintage Rodgers, and he should’ve had a fourth touchdown pass had Malachi Corley not dropped the ball while trotting into the end zone. If he keeps playing like this, the Jets could get back into the playoff race.

17. Green Bay Packers Quarterback Jordan Love

Getty Image / kevin sabitus

Last Week: 23/39, 59.0%, 273 yds, 0 TD / 1 INT
Season Stats: 147/240, 61.3%, 1,820 yds, 15 TD / 10 INT

Another week, another backbkreaking Jordan Love turnover. His truly puzzling pick-six before the end of the half essentially iced the game for the Lions. He doesn’t appear healthy, either. It was a big step back for Jordan Love.

16. Miami Dolphins Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa

Getty Image / Bryan M. Bennett

Last Week: 25/28, 89.3%, 231 yds, 2 TD / 0 INT
Season Stats: 93/128, 72.7%, 948 yds, 5 TD / 3 INT

The Miami Dolphins find new ways to lose every week. But, Tua Tagovailoa has looked fantastic coming off of the brutal Week 2 concussion. In fact, he’s playing much better than he did prior to the concussion. His game-tying drive was a masterpiece. He looks fearless out there, too. Overall, a very strong week.

15. San Francisco 49ers Quarterback Brock Purdy

Getty Image / Lachlan Cunningham

Last Week: Bye
Season Stats: 156/242, 64.5%, 2,101 yds, 10 TD / 7 INT

Brock Purdy and the 49ers will look to get the offense in the groove it was in last year after the Bye. Getting Christian McCaffrey back as soon as this week will really help Purdy out.

14. Arizona Cardinals Quarterback Kyler Murray

Getty Image / michael owens

Last Week: 13/20, 65.0%, 154 yds, 0 TD / 0 INT
Season Stats: 169/252, 67.1%, 1,792 yds, 11 TD / 3 INT

Murray didn’t have to do much more than manage the game on Sunday. That’s not usually a position he’s been in. But, he did that job very well. A strong season for Murray continues and he has the Cardinals in the hunt.

13. Minnesota Vikings Quarterback Sam Darnold

Getty Image / stephen Maturen

Last Week: 28/34, 82.4%, 290 yds, 3 TD / 2 INT
Season Stats: 155/223, 69.5%, 1,900 yds, 17 TD / 7 INT

A little bit of the old Sam Darnold is starting to creep in at times, especially in terms of being careless with the football. But, he’s throwing the ball consistently better than ever. And, his teammates clearly believe in him. It’s truly Sam Darnold’s team.

12. Houston Texans Quarterback CJ Stroud

Getty Image / Luke Hales

Last Week: 11/30, 36.7%, 191 yds, 0 TD / 0 INT
Season Stats: 188/296, 63.5%, 2,139 yds, 11 TD / 4 INT

Look at that stat-line again. Yes, the offensive line is not playing well. But, that’s a brtual line. That’s the kind of stat line that CJ Stroud may have never had in his life. It marks a troubling trend of Stroud’s play of late. A lot of it isn’t necessarily his fault. But, he doesn’t look quite as sharp in the pocket as last year.

11. Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback Jalen Hurts

Getty Image / mitchell Leff

Last Week: 18/24, 75.0%, 230 yds, 2 TD / 0 INT
Season Stats: 150/215, 69.8%, 1,774 yds, 10 TD / 4 INT

Jalen Hurts is playing fantastic football right now. A large part of that is a philosophy shift for the Philadelphia offense. A bigger focus on play-action, especially under center, is a big help to Jalen Hurts. He’s an exceptional play-action passer and he’s been showing that the last few weeks..

10. Los Angeles Chargers Quarterback Justin Herbert

Getty Image / gregory shamus

Last Week: 18/27, 66.7%, 282 yds, 2 TD / 0 INT
Season Stats: 145/223, 65.0%, 1,725 yds, 10 TD / 1 INT

The Chargers are starting to open up the passing attack, and Justin Herbert is just the man for the job. People may forget that he was one of the league’s most prolific passers two years ago. He has the talent to be one of the best quarterbacks in the league for a long time. The future seems really bright in Los Angeles, and Herbert has a lot to do with that.

9. Atlanta Falcons Quarterback Kirk Cousins

Getty Image / Todd Kirkland

Last Week: 19/24, 79.2%, 222 yds, 3 TD / 0 INT
Season Stats: 204/295, 69.2%, 2,328 yds, 17 TD / 7 INT

Don’t let Kirk Cousins and this Falcons offense get hot. That’s exactly what’s happening right now. Kirk Cousins looks so much more comfortable on his surgically repaired Achilles from earlier this year. That’s showing in his play, which has been strong of late. Thankfully for Cousins, the injury to Drake London does not seem to be serious.

8. Los Angeles Rams Quarterback Matthew Stafford

Getty Image / Steph Chambers

Last Week: 25/44, 56.8%, 298 yds, 2 TD / 1 INT
Season Stats: 182/276, 65.9%, 1,969 yds, 9 TD / 6 INT

Stafford once again was down one of his weapons. This time, it was due to a Puca Nakua ejection. And, it wasn’t always pretty for Stafford and the Rams. But, he found a way to win once again without much of a run game at all. He’s a guy whose numbers don’t look as good as the level he’s actually playing at.

7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Quarterback Baker Mayfield

Getty Image / Jamie Squire

Last Week: 23/31, 74.2%, 200 yds, 2 TD / 0 INT
Season Stats: 225/315, 71.4%, 2,389 yds, 23 TD / 9 INT

Baker Mayfield is playing outstanding football without his top two options in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Head Coach Todd Bowles should’ve put the ball in his hands at the end of the game for a game-winning two point conversion. Baker’s career renaissance is truly one of the best NFL stories of the past two years.

6. Washington Commanders Quarterback Jayden Daniels

Getty Image / Al Bello

Last Week: 15/22, 68.2%, 209 yds, 2 TD / 0 INT
Season Stats: 163/228, 71.5%, 1,945 yds, 9 TD / 2 INT

For once, Jayden Daniels didn’t need a heroic performance for the Commanders to win the football game. Like always, Daniels did exactly what was required of him to win. Is this the best season for a rookie quarterback ever? It’s getting hard to argue against it.

5. Cincinnati Bengals Quarterback Joe Burrow

Getty Image / Andy Lyons

Last Week: 27/39, 69.2%, 251 yds, 5 TD / 1 INT
Season Stats: 212/302, 70.2%, 2,244 yds, 20 TD / 4 INT

There’s no way that anyone would’ve looked at this stat line and said the Bengals would be under .500 through nine weeks. That’s certainly not on Burrow. He’s been remarkable, and he dominated the Raiders on Sunday.

4. Kansas City Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes

Getty Image / Cooper Neill

Last Week: 34/44, 77.3%, 291 yds, 3 TD / 0 INT
Season Stats: 188/269, 69.9%, 1,942 yds, 11 TD / 9 INT

Monday night reminded us of the Patrick Mahomes that has a chance to be the greatest quarterback of all-time. Playing through tough elements, Mahomes showed off his incredible playmaking ability better than he has all season. And, when the Chiefs won the coin flip in overtime, everyone knew Mahomes would take them down for a winning touchdown. It seems likely that’s the kind of performance he is going to build off of.

3. Buffalo Bills Quarterback Josh Allen

Getty Image / Bryan M. Bennett

Last Week: 25/39, 64.1%, 235 yds, 3 TD / 1 INT
Season Stats: 168/262, 64.1%, 2,001 yds, 17 TD / 2 INT

Josh Allen keeps rolling along. His only blemish was an interception on a ball that should’ve been a touchdown, only for it to hit off Keon Coleman’s chest and into the hands of Jalen Ramsey. If it wasn’t for the two guys ahead of him on this list, he’d be the MVP of the league.

2. Detroit Lions Quarterback Jared Goff

Getty Image / Stacy Revere

Last Week: 18/22, 81.8%, 145 yds, 1 TD / 0 INT
Season Stats: 158/211, 74.9%, 1,840 yds, 14 TD / 4 INT

The yardage numbers won’t jump out to you. But, conditions were nasty at Lambeau Field. Goff, a California kid that plays his home games in a dome, handled them with aplomb. Right now, he’s a head of Drew Brees’ record of a season-long completion percentage of 74.4%. That’s awfully impressive, especially considering the Lions take shots down the field.

1. Baltimore Ravens Quarterback Lamar Jackson

Getty Image / scott taetsch

Last Week: 16/19, 84.2%, 280 yds, 3 TD / 0 INT
Season Stats: 174/255, 68.2%, 2,379 yds, 20 TD / 2 INT

Speaking of records, the passer rating record for a season is 122.5, set by Aaron Rodgers in 2011. Right now, Lamar Jackson is at a ridiculous 120.7. That record is within his reach, and would shatter the notion that nobody should hold anymore that Lamar Jackson is a glorified running back. He’s throwing the ball at an exceptional level this offseason.
