Florida Gators defensive tackle Desmond Watson is one of the most fascinating players in all of college football. That’s because Watson, who is listed at 6-foot-5 and 449 pounds, is perhaps the largest player in all of college football.

And while Watson is one-man interior defensive line who possesses the ability to squat enormous amounts of weight, he’s also much, much more than that. Florida head coach Billy Napier showed just that during the Gasparilla Bowl against Tulane on Friday night.

Facing third-and-1 late in the game and leading 26-0, Napier called on his X factor. He lined up Watson in the backfield next to QB Aidan Warner. Warner received the snap, handed the ball off, and let the magic happen.

Watson initially got hit three yards behind the line of scrimmage. But 449 pounds is not easy to bring to the ground. He kept his feet moving and picked up the first down in what is, undeniably, the best 1-yard run you will see all season.

Watson celebrated his remarkable carry the only way possible – hitting the Heisman pose.

Fans were quick to give the big boy his flowers.

For the sake of comparison, legendary Chicago Bears defensive tackle was 6-foot-2, 335 pounds when he scored a touchdown against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XX. Watson would dwarf him.

This is everything that makes college football and bowl season great, and we hope it continues for years to come
