The San Francisco 49ers quarterback situation was a hot mess all season long. And it was all due to some wild injuries.
Now, many ponder what’s next for the team as they have three capable quarterbacks on the roster. For Jimmy Garoppolo, it sounds like his time is done in San Francisco.
During a press conference with the media, Kyle Shanahan made it clear what he thinks about Garoppolo being on the roster next season.

As you can see, the 49ers’ head coach didn’t mince words at all. Jimmy Garoppolo will be free to enter free agency while San Francisco gives Trey Lance and Brock Purdy a shot.
Although he’s not an elite quarterback in the league, Garoppolo has proven to be capable. With the right team, he could help a franchise make a playoff appearance.
For that reason, some NFL fans are begging for Jimmy Garoppolo to join their team after the 49ers made their final decision.
