If Hollywood was ever going to assemble a basketball team, Adam Sandler would be a lock at the point guard position. The 57-year-old actor and comedian would not just be on the roster. He would start!

Sandler has been known to pop up at random places in random moments just to hoop. Timothée Chalamet was crossed-up by the former SNL star last summer. Trae Young and Tobias Harris couldn’t guard him back in 2021. He later rocked an outfit straight out of middle school gym class during a pickup game on Long Island.

All of this goes to say that Sandler is a baller.

Managers for the University of Arizona college basketball team found out on Thursday night. Sandler rolled into Tucson for the top-10 Wildcats’ game against the Colorado Buffaloes.

He had to get a few shots up prior to tipoff and challenged the student managers to some 3-v-3 on the court at McKale Memorial Center. They happily obliged, but failed to put a true body on him throughout the game.

Although Sandler’s jump shot is smooth, it is his handles that always make the difference. He is slick!

One particular pass stole the show. Sandler got the ball in the corner, pump-faked the behind-the-back dribble and drove to the hoop. As he crossed into the paint under the backboard, he delivered a beautiful bounce pass through traffic for the easy lay-in.

It is no secret that the 5-foot-10, 195-pound Hollywood star can hoop! Sandler continues to prove that age is but a number and shows no signs of slowing down.

Seriously though… I know it’s Adam Sandler… but can someone please play some defense?! Arizona’s managers were very gracious to their visitor, and we ultimately are the better for it because it led to some great highlights!
