Texas Rangers Star Adolis Garcia’s Radical Body Transformation Has Fans Asking Questions

Texas Rangers’ superstar Adolis Garcia is one of the most feared hitters in all of Major League Baseball.

He burst onto the scene in 2021 en route to finishing fourth in the American League Rookie of the Year voting, and he hasn’t looked back.

But an incredible physical transformation from that rookie season, when he was 28 years old, to now, has some fans raising questions.

Now, Garcia has always been a well put-together guy, as evidenced by the first photo and his 31 home runs as a rookie. But he’s gone from an in-shape guy with big arms to a cross between Barry Bonds and Pedro Cerrano from the movie Major League.

We, of course, are not making any allegation. Cerrano has spent the last three years plus in an MLB weight-training program and it’s perfectly reasonable that he just added a good bit of muscle.

But that hasn’t stopped fans on social media from being a little bit curious.

While Garcia wouldn’t reveal his exact routine or his max lifting numbers, he did given an interview last Spring where he let fans know his favorite lift.

We wanted to hear some numbers 😤🤣Adolis García is an absolute beast… I guess he just picks up any weight and moves it without checking the numbers 😈You gotta love the shoutouts to fellow Cubanos Randy Arozarena and Yandy Díaz 🇨🇺💯 Who do you think is the strongest player in the league? We gotta track down all the jacked dudes in the MLB and get their lifting numbers 👀 #grandesligas #beisbol #texasrangers #benchpress #lifting

“Bench press. But I don’t know how much,” he answered.

Garcia then says that Tampa Bay Rays stars Randy Arozarena and Yandy Diaz are the two guys he feels are the strongest in the MLB.

We’ve got to get ourselves down to Cuba ASAP to get on that lifting plan.

Whatever it is Garcia is doing to get into such ridiculous shape, it’s clearly paying off. The 31-year-old already has three home runs and six RBIs in four games for the Rangers this season. The defending World Series champs are 3-1 in those games.

Although if he’s not hitting a home run, he’s likely striking out. Garcia has five strikeouts through the first four games.
