Angel Reese Won’t Stop Whining About Caitlin Clark While Acting Like A Bully During One-Sided WNBA Rivalry

Angel Reese does not like Caitlin Clark and, whether she will admit it or not, Caitlin Clark does not like Angel Reese. However, their WNBA rivalry always seems to intensify because of one player and not the other.

It is not a coincidence.

I don’t know whether it stems from jealousy or frustration but Reese is the biggest hater in the WNBA. What gives?

Angel Reese cannot stand the biggest star in the WNBA.

The rivalry between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese dates back to the national championship game in 2023 when Reese (in)famously taunted Clark with the John Cena ‘You Can’t See Me’ hand wave gesture. It sparked a loud and lengthy discourse surrounding the behavior. It sparked a beef between them.

The rivalry is mostly one-sided in terms of how it plays out in public.

Clark mostly keeps to herself. She does not address Reese unless she is asked to. And when she is asked to, she remains amicable. Often short, but relatively cordial nonetheless.

The same cannot be said for Reese. Reese often takes aim at Clark — and her fans. She has repeatedly stated her supporters are racist and fueled the unnecessary race war with a nasty post on TikTok. She also takes jabs at Clark behind her back on social media. Her “inner circle” supposedly told Robert Griffin III that she “hates” Clark.

And then there is the on-court behavior.

Clark committed a hard foul on Reese last season, which led to a heated altercation. Clark later threw shade at Reese and laughed off the performative behavior of her opponent. That was not the only incident.

These two can try to say there is not a rivalry between them but the proof is in the pudding. Reese even said that she will accept the villain role for the betterment of women’s basketball. Whatever that means…

Caitlin Clark is largely unbothered.

Angel Reese continues to instigate the rivalry with Caitlin Clark. The Dream played the Fever twice in the last three days. Atlanta head coach Karl Smesko described it as a game with “playoff intensity.” That became apparent in the first half of both matchups.

Clark took some contact during the second quarter on Thursday and drew a foul. Reese took the opportunity to mock Indiana’s point guard for what she seemed to believe was a soft whistle.

A similar thing happened during the first quarter on Saturday. It started with Clark hitting a triple over Reese, who is a defensive liability.

And then Clark drew another light foul. This time it was not on Reese, but right in front of her. The latter proceeded to chirp at the former. She even took an unnecessary swipe at the ball after the play was already dead. Clark waved her off.

These kinds of things keep happening every time they are on the court together. Angel Reese tries so hard to get under Caitlin Clark’s skin but, even if Clark very obviously does not like Reese, she doesn’t care enough to act. It is a one-sided rivalry.
