If there’s one thing to know about LSU Tigers women’s basketball star Angel Reese, it’s that she’s not going to sit back and let people disrespect her.

Sure, Reese is happy to let her game do the talking. After all, she isn’t one of the nation’s top players by accident.

But Reese is also not afraid to talk some trash, whether it’s on the court or on social media.

The most recent example of this came via Instagram, as Reese threw shade at a Los Angeles Times writer who was critical of the LSU program and players.

The post showed milk and cookies on one side of a table with a piece of paper that read “VS” in the middle and bottles of Frank’s Red Hot (notably not Louisiana hot sauce) on the other side.

Reese captioned the post “we loveeee milk & cookies.”

What does it mean?

Well, it’s an obvious response to LA Times writer Ben Bolich, who had the following to say about LSU’s Sweet 16 matchup with UCLA.

“This isn’t just a basketball game, it’s a reckoning. Picking sides goes well beyond school allegiance. Do you prefer America’s sweethearts or its dirty debutantes? Milk and cookies or Louisiana hot sauce? The coach who embraces reporters or the one who attacks them? The tender star player or the one who taunts?”

LSU coach Kim Mulkey ripped into both the article and Bolich after her team’s victory over the Bruins.

“You can criticize coaches all you want, that’s our business,” Mulkey said. “…We expect that it comes with the territory, but the one thing I’m not going to let you do, I’m not going to let you attack young people and there’s some things in this commentary that you should be offended by as women.”

Reese didn’t comment on the article in her press conference.

But it’s clear she wasn’t content to just let it slide.
