Former NFL star Antonio Brown recently opened up about the infamous meltdown that marked his last game in the league.

Brown lashed out at his former teammate, Tom Brady, blaming him and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers franchise for the incident that ended his career in the NFL.

In a candid discussion on Tyreek Hill’s podcast, ‘It Needed to be Said,’ Brown shed light on the circumstances surrounding the meltdown and revealed that he was not in good health to play in the game against the New York Jets.

Before delving details on his departure from the Buccaneers, Brown made several other comments on the podcast, including that he believes Tom Brady thinks he’s a “Narcissist.”

According to Brown, he had requested the team to sit him out in order to rest and prepare for the playoffs, as he wasn’t feeling physically fit. However, Tom Brady and the management convinced him to play, promising him significant involvement in the game.

Brown recounted Brady’s words, saying, “Tom called me like ‘Yo this week man the Jets man, they sweet man imma hit you with like 10 to 12.’ So, he gonna gas me up so you know me, that’s all I need to hear like yo you gonna throw me the ball, this is like me saying like I got a new crib like you know me, you know what I’m saying.”

However, Brown’s hopes were shattered when he discovered that Brady’s trainer refused to work with him because he was collaborating with the Buccaneers’ medical staff. Brown felt mistreated, describing the situation as being treated “like I’m a little dog.”

The tipping point for Brown came when he believed that he didn’t receive the passes that Brady had promised him during the game. Despite receiving 5 targets before quitting mid-game.

He later expressed his frustration, stating, “You don’t want to throw me the ball and you making me like I’m crazy, so, I was like, I’m crazy, f— all you m————, I’m out of here.”

Frustrated and feeling unsupported, the wide receiver abruptly left the field, incurring an altercation with head coach Bruce Arians along the way. The incident resulted in Brown’s release from the Buccaneers, effectively marking the end of his NFL career.
