No, Arch Manning is not a multi-millionaire as a freshman in college. Everybody relax.

There has been a lot of chatter surrounding the first grandson of football’s NIL fortune in recent weeks.

On3 set his ‘valuation’ at $2.8 million, which is a computer-generated number to estimate the maximum amount of money he could make based on various factors like media coverage and social media following. Comparatively, Brock Purdy earned a base salary of $870,000 this year.

A lot of social media aggregators, who are often wrong, took those numbers and claimed that Manning is making more money than the starting quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers. That simply isn’t true.

Manning said so himself during the first media availability of his career prior to the Sugar Bowl.

I’m not involved with my NIL. You would have to ask my dad about that. I have no idea. I don’t think I’m making however much more than Brock Purdy. Someone sent me that the other day.

Not long thereafter, his father set the record straight.

Cooper made it abundantly clear that any “reports” about Arch’s NIL fortune are simply untrue. He also re-established the fact that Name, Image and Likeness opportunity was not a factor in his son’s recruitment.

The only deal that Arch has signed thus far is with Panini for trading card rights. Its price tag likely hovered around the low six-figure range and will last throughout the entirety of his career.

Panini held an auction for the first-ever Manning card that broke a record set by his uncle Peyton. However, he himself did not see a dime. All of the proceeds went to charity.

Cooper recently spoke with Ross Dellenger of Yahoo! Sports. He hopes that logic will soon prevail surrounding Arch’s NIL money.

All this NIL stuff is BS. People just make up numbers. Don’t believe what you read.

There you have it! Arch Manning is not getting paid millions of dollars from Texas’ NIL collective. His commitment to the Longhorns had nothing to with the amount of money that they could provide.

Purdy is not making less money as the likely NFL MVP than an 18-year-old. Chill out!
