Arch Manning is as advertised. We know this.

The Isidore Newman High School quarterback is arguably the biggest recruit in college football history and he continues to play like it. Manning has led his team to three-straight wins this season and looks dominant.

After showing off what he can do with his legs last weekend and absolutely TRUCKING a defender, he aired it out and casually threw for five touchdowns on Friday. Oh, and he did so without playing the last 21 minutes of the game.

Manning has now accounted for 14 total scores in three games but his head coach called his performance against Pear River the “best effort of the year.”

Taking another look:

He threw two of his touchdowns to tight end Will Randle twice early and his second was the best throw of the night. He dropped a dime in a bucket right into Randle’s out-stretched arms.

Manning found wide receiver Chris Hunter twice in the second quarter— once with great timing on a buttonhook and once on a screen. His last touchdown showed his ability to throw lasers.

There isn’t much that Manning need to improve upon, but he always finds something to work on. He told 24/7 Sports that he is trying to hone in on the things that will take him to the next level.

“Especially decision-making and accuracy, that was kind of the main thing this year,” Manning said. “I think we’re going to be able to spread the ball around a lot more and just make plays and be more consistent. That’s been a big goal of mine, just be more consistent. I think last year was more up and down.”

The son of Cooper and nephew of Peyton and Eli turned around on Friday night and made the trip to Tuscaloosa to watch Alabama host Ole Miss at Bryant-Denny Stadium. He is linked to both schools, as well as Georgia, Clemson and Texas.
