One of the most well-known fans in college baseball is currently on the wrong end of viral infamy after a video showed him yell at an Arkansas student during a heated altercation while wearing a wig. He has since cleared his name by providing the full context to the incident— which actually proves that his frustration was warranted.

The man, who is best known as just “Rick B,” also issued a retroactive apology for his outburst.

This video actually dates back to the Super Regional round of the college baseball postseason in 2021. And yet, for some reason, it has received more than 250,000 views in less than 24 hours after it was posted by a separate Razorbacks-focused fan account with a negative caption earlier this week.

and this is the problem with @rickybaw trying to kick STUDENTS who stayed the night there and have PROOF of it to the f—— back because they aren’t in his little clique of people. you’re a f—— disgrace ricky and need to re evaluate your life decisions if this is how you’re going to act to student fairly in line! absolutely ridiculous

I do not know why this specific account has a vendetta against Rick B. I do not know why he or she does not like him. Nor do I know why he or she posted a video from four years ago as if it is new.

Nevertheless, the video was posted. It does not reflect well on Rick B, who tears into a blonde woman for allegedly trying to cut in line to get a better spot during an upcoming baseball game. He did not hold back. She played the victim during Rick B’s tirade. To say that they had words would be understated.

However, this viral video is old news. Four years old, to be exact! Rick B clarified the altercation and provided much-needed context that absolutely vindicates his tirade. It might not be the best look, and he knows that, but his frustration was not without reason!

People had been camping out on the sidewalk out of the rabid ‘Hogpen’ section of Baum-Walker Stadium since Tuesday prior to the Super Regional in 2021. The woman who is in the video tried to cheat the system. Rick B would not stand for such an injustice.

During the Friday game, some people decided to go out and start lining up for the Hogpen for Saturday’s game; underneath canopies and tents that had been set up by others since Tuesday. I left the Hogpen and walked to the sidewalk to talk to them. I told them that the people who had been camping out there all week do not lose their spot in line while they are in the current game. The young lady started yelling at me telling me that she and her friends were not going to move. Then she yells at me telling me who her parents were (lawyers somewhere) and that they would come sue me. That’s about the time the other young lady started recording her video.

The University of Arkansas Police Department ultimately took Rick B’s side after hearing the full story.

At the end of the video, you see the UAPD officer come up and ask me to walk with him. That’s where the video ends. From that point, I explained the situation to the UAPD officer and to the Landmark event staff. They agreed with me and asked those people to disperse and informed everyone that the line would reform after the current game. They eventually left.

Not only was Rick B in the right, he and the young lady made up through Fireball.

What you also don’t see from this video is that on Saturday, the young lady and her friends got in the Hogpen and got a good spot almost directly behind me. I went up to her and we both apologized to each other for yelling at each other, shook hands, and then did “bury the hatchet’ fireball shots. Everything was resolved in a friendly and civil manner.

There you have it! Not only is this video not relevant to the current season, it was intentionally twisted to make Rick B look bad when, in reality, it was the woman who was out of line— literally!
