Baker Mayfield doesn’t seem to be a fan of ESPN Cleveland’s Tony Grossi.
During last year’s draft Grossi blasted the Browns for drafting the “diminutive” Mayfield.

Are you kidding me? This is the reason the Browns passed on Carson Wentz in 2016, passed on Deshaun Watson in 2017, and failed to aggressively trade for Jimmy Garoppolo? To crown six-foot Baker Mayfield the next franchise quarterback hopeful with the No. 1 pick of the John Dorsey era?
After sacrificing so many blue-chip prospects to collect future assets, the road paved by so many miserable game days was supposed to lead to a pot of gold in the 2018 draft. Instead, there was Mayfield at the end of the rainbow – another diminutive quarterback with a giant chip on his shoulder.
Grossi also went on to compare Mayfield to Johnny Manziel.
Via The Big Lead
“As a player, they’re similar. You can’t deny they’re similar as players. I think [Mayfield]’s brash, like Johnny. You don’t think he’s brash like Johnny? You don’t think he’s a ‘me-guy’?” Grossi asked. “I don’t think he’s the right quarterback for the Browns.
Now Grossi is taking shots at Kyler Murray by lazily comparing him to Johnny Manziel and Baker isn’t having it.
Grossi on Kyler Murray: "He's more like Johnny than Baker."

He also said he would retire if the Browns drafted me. So does anything he say have truth to it? Couldn’t be more any more wrong. There is no comparison to even be made about Kyler. He’s a winner and if you don’t see that, something is wrong with you.

Grossi responded to Mayfield’s tweet but the damage was already done.
This is so funny. 1. Never said retire. Said ‘I’m done.’ Purposely vague. 2. Said the other guy physically was closer to Johnny (ht & wt) than you. All good. Use it how you want. Happy New Year. https://t.co/S3C3jMuQn7

What a pathetic response. “I was purposely vague so that when I ended up being wrong my words couldn’t be used against me.” Journalism in 2019 folks.

Please be “done” then. You lose all these battles. Do all of Cleveland a favor and be done. pic.twitter.com/gmX0PUAepX
