The Baltimore Ravens have been without Lamar Jackson for weeks.
Jackson suffered a knee injury against the Denver Broncos back in Week 13 and hasn’t seen the field since.
During his absence, the team has turned to Tyler Huntley under center. Unfortunately, the offense has struggled with Huntley as the starting quarterback, averaging just 11.8 points per game in the games Huntley has played.
Jackson has already been ruled out for this weekend’s matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, which will have a major impact on the Ravens’ seeding in the playoffs. With him missing the last game of the regular season, there have been plenty of questions about his playoff availability.
Fans hadn’t been given a clear answer on whether they should expect to see him in the playoffs and some have wondered if his lack of a contract for the 2023 season would lead him to be more cautious about his injury.
Today, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that may not be the case. According to Schefter, there is a strong chance that Jackson suits up next week.
Despite being ruled out for Sunday’s regular-season finale, not having practiced once in over a month, and still having swelling in his knee, Ravens’ quarterback Lamar Jackson has “a strong chance” of playing Baltimore’s wild-card game next weekend, per a league source.

If he does play, Jackson will have a tough task in front of him. Jackson hasn’t seen the field in over a month, so he’ll likely be a bit rusty to start out the Ravens’ playoff matchup.
That matchup is also likely to come on the road as the Ravens would have to beat the Bengals in Cincinnati without him to force a coin-flip for home-field advantage.
Even if it will be a tough situation for Jackson to return in, the Baltimore Ravens would be very excited to have him back under center.
