Buffalo fans were having fun with the conditions at Highmark Stadium on Monday during a playoff matchup against the Steelers. In fact, they made themselves a part of the game.

Those Bills supporters were spotted tossing snowballs at Pittsburgh receivers on a few different occasions.

Weather has been a major factor in the leadup of the contest, with storms forcing the outing to be pushed back a day. There were even rumors about moving the matchup to another city, though the NFL opted to honor Buffalo’s homefield advantage.

To quickly prepare the stadium for the game, the team actually called upon the fanbase to help shovel snow from the stands. Still, there was plenty remaining in and around the venue when kickoff came.

During the pregame festivities, tailgaters used the snow as a prop, building ledges to leap from as they continued the Bills Mafia tradition of crashing through tables. And as start time neared, viral videos showed fans plodding through the waist-high banks while locating their seats.

Early in the first half, the snow was used in celebration following a Dalton Kincaid touchdown catch. Shortly thereafter, it was used as a means of distraction.

With Pittsburgh driving towards the endzone, snowballs showered the field of play. Those projectiles targeted Steelers wideout Diontae Johnson as he attempted to haul in a score.

That instance ended with a Buffalo interception, and it wouldn’t be the last of those Bills fans’ attempts to throw opponents off their game.

In the second half of action, with Pittsburgh looking to close the gap, Mason Rudolph heaved a pass to George Pickens in the corner of the endzone.

Again, snowballs flew from stands.

That second offense nearly made contact with Pickens, who couldn’t haul in the reception.

The antics clearly got to Pittsburgh pass catchers as they were seen giving the Bills fans a piece of their minds on the sidelines.

Not everyone was happy to see the snow rain down at players, including former NFL corner Charles Woodson.

“Whoever threw the snowball has to be found and kicked out.”

In the end, the fun continued for Buffalo supporters as the team won 31-17. With the playoff victory, the Bills move onto the next round of the postseason.
