The Milwaukee Bucks, down 2-1 to the Indiana Pacers in their first-round series, were already in dire straits Sunday. Superstars Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard were both ruled out of game 4 with lower leg injuries as they looked to avoid going down 3-1 in the series.

In order to have a prayer on Sunday, the Bucks would need a great performance from their role players. That became significantly more difficult when one of their best role players, Bobby Portis got himself ejected in the 1st quarter.

With 5:01 remaining in the first half, Bobby Portis got into an altercation with Pacers sharpshooter Andrew Nembhard.

The powers that be decided that Bobby Portis should be ejected from the game.

That’s a huge blow for the Milwaukee Bucks. Bobby Portis was their 4th-leading scorer this season. He averaged just under 14 ppg on just over 50% shooting from the field and over 40% from three-point range. He’s averaged 15 points per game through the team’s first three playoff games.

There’s no doubt that Bobby Portis would’ve been a big part of the game plan by Bucks Coach Doc Rivers. Instead, they’re going to have to find ways to score without him.
